In her first foreign policy speech since being slated to lead Israel's next government, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni promised Sunday to continue negotiations with the Palestinian leadership, according to a report by Deutsche Press Agentur dpa from occupied Al-Quds monitered in Riyadh. "Annapolis will continue," she said, referring to the peace process relaunched in the US city last year and adding that she supported the creation of a Palestinian state. Livni also said that while many world leaders understood the threat of a nuclear Iran, this had not been translated into strong enough action, in her view. She spoke at a conference assessing the state's strategy on foreign policy. Livni won the Kadima party primary elections last month and was chosen by President Shimon Peres to attempt to form a new government, as current Prime Minister Ehud Olmert submitted his resignation.
