Saudi Students Club in Brisbane has held an Iftar Party which was attended by Club members, students on scholarships at universities and institutes of the city. During the Iftar Party, the Deputy Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hussein Al-Aseeri delivered a speech in which he conveyed greetings of Saudi Ambassador Hassan Talat Nazer to the Saudi students on the blessed month of Ramadan. He also said that the Australian government decided to upgrade to Category (A) visas of Saudi students. This category is the highest level of Australian visa granted to students coming from abroad who pursue their academic studies in Australia. Al-Aseeri said that this decision will make it easier for Saudi students wishing to complete their studies in Australia to apply for the first time for visas by using electronic visa (E-Visa) through the Internet at any time and from anywhere. "The decision reflects the strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Australia. It is also the result of the talks held with the Australian government in this regard as well as the meetings held with a number of Australian officials and ministers", the Deputy Saudi Ambassador added.
