Medvedev says Russia will not change its course despite pressure from the West. He says that any potential Western sanctions would also hurt the West and would not lead to any catastrophic consequences for Russia. Medvedev made his comments at a meeting Monday with business leaders and was responding to Western warnings that the war in Georgia could delay Russia's access into the World Trade Organization.
