Under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation, Inspector General, and Chairman of Board of Directors of General Organization of Saudi Arabian Airlines, it was signed at his palace in Jeddah today an agreement on the sale of 30% of the freight sector to Tarabut Air Freight Services Company as a strategic partner of the organization in the freight sector. On Tarabut, the agreement was signed by Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer and on the Airlines by Saudi Arabian Airlines Director General Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Melhem. In his speech Al-Melhem expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Crown Prince for patronizing the ceremony of signing the agreement. He noted that the revenues of the freight sector amounted to more than SR 1.7 billion in 2007 and exceeded SR 1 billion in the first half of the year 2008, considering this as an unprecedented achievement in the history of the Organization. The signing ceremony was attended by Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Civil Aviation Affairs; Prince Naif bin Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, and a number of officials. --More
