Roadside bombs killed five Iraqi policemen and injured eight others north of Baghdad on Sunday, an Iraqi official said. Three bombs that were planted along a main thoroughfare targeted a police convoy in Jalawla, 60 miles (95 kilometers) north of Baghdad, said Ibrahim Bajilan, head of the provincial council of Diyala. On Saturday night, a bomb killed the leader of an armed group in a western district of Baghdad. The bomb exploded in the car of Fuad Ali Hussein, killing him as well as his deputy and two bodyguards.
