Kuwaiti Foreign Undersecretary Khalid Al-Jarallah said Sunday that the upcoming visit by the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Washington would focus on bilateral relations and issues pertaining to Kuwait's higher state interests within the frame of the strategic alliance between the two countries. Speaking to the daily "Al-Qabas," he said the visit was in response to an invitation by US President George W. Bush, adding that Sheikh Nasser would also be meeting top officials of the US Administration, including Vice President Dick Cheney, State Secretary Condoleezza Rice and members of the Congress. He described the visit as "timely" given the circumstances that the region was going through, according to a report of KUNA. Moreover, he said the Kuwaiti side would also bring up the issue of Kuwaiti students and the need for greater visa facilitations so that they may pursue through education. --MORE
