UAE pavilion at Expo Zaragoza 2008 wins gold

The UAE pavilion at the Expo Zaragoza 2008 has won the golden award for excellence of design and quality of items and content on display, the UAE news agency "WAM" reported.
The UAE pavilion shared the award with pavilions of Oman, Jordan, Japan, Philippines and Germany.
Winners of the silver award include Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Turkey and Denmark, the report said.
Winners are named by a panel representing the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) and Expo Zaragoza 2008.
Around one million visitors toured the UAE pavilion since Expo Zaragoza 2008 was opened in mid June.
