Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met Saturday with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Miguel Angel Moratinos to discuss regional developments and issues pertaining to the Union of the Mediterranean. This is the Spanish foreign minister's first leg of a tour that will also take him to Israel, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, KUNA reported. Cairo Radio said the two officials discussed bilateral relations, developments in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Sudan, Somalia and Iraq, topics within the framework of the Union of the Mediterranean in which the two countries are members. Moratinos arrived in Cairo yesterday on a two-day visit, and is expected to meet with Foreign Minister Ahmad Abulgheit to discuss developments in the Middle East. --MORE
