A private security official says gunmen in Nigeria's southern oil region have hijacked an oil-services boat with 13 people onboard, including five expatriate workers, the Associated Press reported. The official spoke on condition of anonymity due to company prohibitions on speaking to the media. The official said the Tuesday hijacking took place on a river in the southern Niger Delta oil region but had no further details and did not know the nationalities of the five foreigners.
