The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz sent today a cable of congratulations Pakistan elected President Asif Ali Zardari. In his own name and on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King wished the President permanent success. "It gives me great pleasure on this occasion to praise the solid close historical relations that bind our two fraternal countries and peoples, which we all look forward to moving forward to strengthen them in all areas, wishing you good health and happiness and the brotherly people of Pakistan steady progress and prosperity." The King said.
