The Dutch Defense Ministry said one of its troops has been killed and five wounded by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, AP reported. Dutch defense chief Gen. Peter van Uhm has told reporters in The Hague that the attack happened Sunday afternoon in a restive valley in the southern province of Uruzgan. Van Uhm said the soldier killed was 21-year-old Jos ten Brinke. One of the injured soldiers is in critical but stable condition. The other four suffered only slight injuries.
