In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under the supervision of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and general supervisor of Saudi Committee for Relief of Afghan people by providing relief aid for people affected by floods recently swept Sarhad province and damaged 15,000 houses, the Committee has distributed relief assistance to 500 families in Kharasan camp in Peshawar at a cost of U.S. 72,000. Dr. Saed Al-Harthi, the Chairman of the Committee and Advisor to the Minister of Interior has followed up the distribution of aid including 500 tents, 500 plastic mattresses, 500 plastic covers, 500 stoves and 1000 blankets. Attended the distribution ceremony and received by Administrative Assistant at the Committee's Regional Office Khalid Abdullah Al-Himaili, the governor of Peshawar Ghulam Ali thanked Saudi Arabia for assisting the victims of floods.
