The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has entered into partnership with the Islamic Association in Norway (IAN) to boost joint cooperation in areas of education, culture and Islamic Dawa (Call). A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed by Adel Al Marzouqi, Head of Control and Guidance Section, and Ibrahim Belkilani, Chairman of the IAN. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, Acting Director of Guidance, said the MoU aimed at forging partnerships with communities abroad to serve Muslims and Islam and strengthen channels of communication between the IACAD and IAN. UAE news agency "WAM" quoted Al Marzouqi as saying that the MoU called for exchange of visits during religious occasions like the fasting month of Ramadan. ''Under the MoU, IACAD will provide the IAN with multi-language copies of the Holy Quran and other Islamic publications issued by Department and offer advice and consultation on religious and family affairs, ' he said.
