New archaeological excavations in Aqaba 2


French Archaeological Team in Hudaib Alreeh area.
"These excavations revealed the presence of a village in Wadi sabit dating back to the Stone Copper Age, and after examining a wood of an olive tree found in that area, it showed that inhabitants used to plant olive since 5400 BC," she added.
"Maintenance and renovation works are still going on several archaeological sites in Aqaba, Fakhery added.
