Yemen and Jordan agreed on Wednesday on studying establishing a joint company to build a specialized hospital in Yemen financed by the two countries' private sectors, Saba reported. Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a and Jordanian Minister of Health Salah al-Mawajdeh held talks in Amman over the necessity of creating a mechanism to regulate treating sick Yemenis in the private and public Jordanian hospitals and enhancing the role of the medical attachés in Sana'a and Amman for this purpose. It is expected that at the end of Yemeni-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee (YJJHC) meetings being held in Amman currently, Yemen and Jordan will sign a health cooperation protocol. The protocol stipulates to exchange expertise in medicine manufacturing and laboratories, training Yemeni doctors and sending Jordanian specialized medical teams to work in major hospitals of Yemeni governorates in addition to gaining advantage from the Jordan's experience in preparing forensic law draft, its executive bylaw and to set up Forensic body. Based on the protocol, Jordan will allocate a number of annual remedial grants for sick Yemenis in the Health Ministry's hospitals and the Al-Hussein Medical City.
