Minister of Hajj Dr. Fuad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi commended the Kingdom's interest in Hajj affairs since the era of the Kingdom's founder late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud whose great accomplishments included ensuring pilgrims' routes and facilitating performance of their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably. In a press briefing held at the headquarters of South Asia Foundation here today after visiting a number of Pilgrim Guides Foundations, Dr. Al-Farsi pointed out that this interest has been continuing in the eras of the founder King's sons including the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Every year we receive the appreciation and thanks from the heads of Hajj missions to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for its distinguished services provided for pilgrims to perform their rituals easily, safely and comfortably, he said. The Minister of Hajj noted that the Ministry has exerted all efforts to give each state its quota of the number of pilgrims according to the resolution of the foreign ministers of Islamic countries held in Amman. Regarding the frequent transportation project, he emphasized that the ministry allocated SR 320 million in its budget for the project which will be implemented next year. Dr. Al-Farsi indicated that the ministry had formed a committee to prepare an organizing draft of the work of Pilgrim Guides Foundations and to overcome the difficulties facing them.
