Ruling Military Junta in Mauritania names new PM

The Military Council in Mauritania named today Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf the former Mauritanian ambassador in Belgium as the new Prime Minister.
The military junta headed by General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, who ousted Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, the first elected president in Mauritania last week, promised fresh presidential elections as soon as possible.
