The first shipment of iron has arrived in Bahrain from Turkey. A total of 16,500 tonnes of iron was received at the Khalifa bin Salman Port. This is part of deals signed by the Kingdom of Bahrain with Turkish companies during King Hamad's official visit to Turkey, according to a press statement published today. Memoranda of Understanding were signed with Turkish companies by Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro which included the sale of building materials, cement and iron to Bahraini suppliers at preferential prices.
