The Chairman of Zarqa Chamber of Industry in Jordan Dr Mohammad Al-Tal said that the program of mutual recognition of certificates of conformity and quality marks signed between Jordanian Specifications and Standards Organization and Saudi Arabian Standards Organization contributes to removing non-tariff barriers to the exchange of goods between the two countries. In a meeting with Jordanian industrialists, he said that this step will contribute to facilitating trade movement between the two countries, calling for action to promote efficiency and effectiveness of Arab and national customs administrations in the areas of application of trade instructions in coordination with those bodies responsible for the application of specifications and standards and for issuing quality marks between Arab states . A delegation from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has recently visited Jordan and held talks with officials of Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, aiming at developing and enhancing trade exchange volume between the Kingdom and Jordan.
