Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Reza Sheybani conferred with Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Muhammad Safadi here Monday, IRNA reported today. During the meeting, they discussed ways of activating the joint economic commission between the two countries. Sheybani told IRNA, after the meeting that the Lebanese minister had presented economic projects in Lebanon in which Iran can participate. The ambassador said, "It was agreed that the concerned officials in the economic and commerce fields from both countries consider grounds for developing bilateral economic relations." Currently, trade exchange between the two countries stands around $100 million annually.
