China's official news agency says an unknown group drove a truck into a border patrol station Monday morning, tossing grenades in an attack that killed 16 police officers and wounding more on the country's Central Asian frontier. The attack comes four days before the opening of the Olympics in Beijing. Xinhua News Agency says the attackers used a dump truck to ram their way into the paramilitary police station in Kashi and then tossed the two grenades. Besides the dead, Xinhua says 16 officers were also injured. Xinhua, citing police, said two attackers were arrested.
