Sudan and Chad have agreed on an immediate resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, termination of media campaigns and convening of a tripartite summit under the auspices of Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi and participation of Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir and President Idriss Deby of Chad. This has been announced by Abdel Salam Triki, Secretary of Libya's African Unity Minister and Envoy of Gaddafi in a press statement last night in the Sudanese capital following a meeting with President Al-Bashir.
