An editor with a Chinese-language newspaper has posted bail after pleading not guilty to attacking a reporter in a row over the editing of articles, a media report said Friday according to DPA. Lim Siong-hoon, 52, who works for the Hong Kong Economic Times, has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm against reporter Ho Hong-you, the Standard said. Chief magistrate Garry Tallentire adjourned the hearing to September 26 and allowed Lim to post bail on condition that he does not interfere with Ho's work. The attack is alleged to have occurred on June 5 in the newsroom of the daily financial newspaper.
