Italian lawmakers on Thursday gave final approval for the European Union's reform Treaty of Lisbon, with members of the lower house Chamber of Deputies voting unanimously to ratify the treaty, according to DPA. Last week the upper house Senate approved the treaty with a unanimous vote. Thursday's vote was welcomed by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano who described it as an "honour" for the Italian parliament. "I am glad that the government, the majority and the opposition were able to give a sign of unison on a theme which is crucial for the country's future," Napolitano said
