The Lebanese army said Thursday that Israel Air Force warplanes have violated Lebanon's airspace by flying over Beirut and elsewhere in the country. DPA reported "At least three enemy Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace overnight and Thursday morning," the Lebanese army said. "The planes flew over the Mediterranean off the coastal city of sidon and over the capital and its suburbs." It added that other sraeli warplanes flew over the southern town of Rmeish, then headed north to Beirut, the Chouf mountains, south- east of the capital, and Hermel in the eastern part of the country. Israeli overflights have been a constant source of tension between the Israel and Lebanon.
