The Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction held this morning in Cairo a special session under chairmanship of the Kingdom of Bahrain to discuss the files of projects to be presented at the two-day Arab Economic Development Summit, scheduled to start its deliberations on January 20, 2009. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting is headed by the Governor of the National Housing Authority, Dr. Shwesh bin Saud al-Dhwahi Al-Mutairi. In his opening address, Sheikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Minister of Housing, the current president of the council reiterated the importance given to this special session that would be strengthened further in the light of the files and important projects that are in the agenda of the next economic summit in Kuwait. He also spoke on the results of expert meetings and the Executive Office of the Ministerial Council, which contributed to crystallization of these files and projects that will be further studied and approved later today. --MORE
