The UAE airline Etihad Airways signed with aircraft producer Boeing a contract for 45 planes worth around 4.5 billion pounds (8.9 billion dollars), the airline announced Monday at aviation fair in Farnborough Air Show outside of London. Included in the deal were 35 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 10 type 777 aircraft to be delivered between 2011 and 2020. The Abu Dhabi-based company also provides the option of 25 further 787s and 10 Boeing 777s. Previously Boeing received a contract from Fly Dubai airline for 54. The mid-range jets of the type 737 had a list price of around 4 billion dollars, Boeing reported.
