Minister of Agriculture Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Balghunaim arrived here on Sunday on an official visit during which he will head the Kingdom's delegation to meetings of the third session of the Saudi - New Zealand Joint Committee. He was received at Wellington airport by Saudi Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hassan bin Talat Nadhir and a number of New Zealand's high-ranking officials. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the Minister's visit and the talks to be held by the Saudi and New Zealand sides, pointing out to the joint committee and its role in promoting friendly relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said the meeting of the joint committee will be opened tomorrow and co-chaired by Balghunaim and New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Trade and Defense Phil Phil Goff. He said Balghunaim is accompanied by a delegation, comprising representatives of a number of ministries and commercial companies and businessmen in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added that the program of Balghunaim in New Zealand will include a number of meetings with a number of ministers and senior officials and visits to a number of New Zealand cities and counties and key meetings with a number of investment companies and agricultural fields.
