A small plane crashed near the Southern Estonian city of Parnu, killing the pilot, DPA quoted local media as saying on Wednesday. The single-engine Piper 28, registered in Sweden, was on landing approach at the airport around 1500 local time when it crashed and burst into flames, delfi.ee website reported. Viktor Saaremets, a spokesman for the West-Estonian rescue center, told the Baltic News Service the aircraft fell into a small wooded area about 500 meters from the Parnu airport building.
