The Ministry of Social Affairs began today the implementation of the new Cooperative Associations Regulation and the rules interpreting it. This was announced by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for Social Development Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Alhadlaq. The ministry released the full text of the Executive Law of the Cooperative Associations Regulation. Alhadlaq said the rules include controls governing the formation of the councils of cooperative associations and other issues concerning the organization of cooperative associations. The Executive Law of the Cooperative Associations Regulation contains 54 articles explaining various aspects of the cooperative associations and their goals and organization. According to the Executive Law of the Cooperative Associations Regulation, the basic goal of the cooperative association is the improvement of the social and economic status of its members in the fields of production, marketing or services by combining the efforts of the members based on the cooperative principles.
