The Saudi Cultural Attaché in Cairo Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Okail has said the admission of Saudi students at Egyptian universities, either governmental or private, is subject to a number of academic regulations. In a press statement here yesterday, he said the determination of the number of Saudi students at each university and college in Egypt is subject to a number of regulations and restrictions. He added that this number should not surpass the specified number. He pointed out that all Egyptian private universities are aware of that because they have been informed about the regulations through the concerned official authorities, notably the Supreme Universities Council. Al-Okail said the admission of the students for scientific specializations takes place in line with their aggregates at the secondary schools which are similar to the aggregates of the Egyptian students at the level of the same certificate. The Office of the Cultural Attaché will not allow the students to be admitted to the university which does not implement these regulations, he said. He drew the attention to the fact that the admission of Saudi students at the Egyptian University for sciences and technology and 'October University' for modern sciences and arts will continue because these have not surpassed the fixed number in some specializations, he added.
