Iran should stand firm in the nuclear dispute despite new sanctions by the European Union, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted by DPA as saying on Thursday. "We should stand firm and build Iran with all our capabilities - even if they (West) succeeded to close all doors, the Iranian nation would just get more decisive," Ahmadinejad said in a speech in Kermanshah, Western Iran, published by Iran's official news agency IRNA. The EU on Monday decided to freeze the overseas assets of Iran's Melli Bank and expand a travel ban because of the Islamic state's refusal to stop enriching uranium, despite several United Nations Security Council resolutions. "The enemies will never succeed to block Iran's move in the nuclear issue which has become a symbol of Iranian victory," the president said. "Using the language of force means that they (the West) have reached the end of the line," he added. Tehran on Tuesday condemned the bank freeze, the latest sanction in the dispute over Iran's nuclear programme. The state-run bank is Iran's largest financial institute, with overseas offices in several countries, among them Germany, France, Britain, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
