United Nations (U.N.) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in marking World Refugee Day has called on the international community to provide complete protection to the more than 16 million refugees displaced around the world. “I urgently call on the international community to redouble efforts to address both the causes and consequences of forced human displacement, " Ban said while calling for greater solidarity from the international community to address the problem. The U.N. Chief said the international community's goal “must be no less than to ensure that refugees will be free one day to return home, in safety and dignity.”
