Within the activities of Saudi cultural days in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Russia who is the former Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ali Hassan Ja'afar delivered at the National Library of Baku here on Wednesday a lecture in which he highlighted Saudi-Azerbaijani relations. The lecture was attended by Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani and a number of Arab ambassadors in Azerbaijan. The ambassador shed light on bilateral relations between the two countries in Islamic, political, economic, cultural, media and sports fields, emphasizing the importance of these aspects in promoting bilateral relations and allowing the peoples of both countries to be acquainted with the culture of each other. The Ambassador reviewed the efforts of the Kingdom in developing bilateral relations and its services to Islam and Muslims. He pointed out that Azerbaijan rushed to join the Organization of Islamic Conference and was keen to set up diplomatic relations with Islamic countries in various fields. He also reviewed the history of Azerbaijan and its social and political changes which led to forming Azeri identity.
