Japan, China reach accord on undersea gas exploration

Japan and China have agreed to jointly
develop some of the gas deposits in the East China Sea, Kyodo News agency said Wednesday.
Tokyo and Beijing will jointly explore two gas deposit
sites in disputed areas of the East China Sea, their first
concrete agreement in the ownership and exploration rights
to the undersea resources, Kyodo said.
