Al-Salam Aircraft Company and British Aerospace Systems Company have signed a joint memorandum of understanding to train a number of Saudi youth in the field of aviation and to study the establishment of an international academy of aviation and navigation sciences under the umbrella of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The two companies said in a statement today that they will train in the first phase a number of youth to be certified maintenance technicians in accordance with international standards of EASA. The trainees will get international recognized certificates from EASA during the programme. After completing the programme, they will get an engineering degree in aeronautics. The CEO of Al-Salam Aircraft Company, Eng. Mohammed Nour Fallatah said the programme is part of Al-Salam Company's investments in developing Saudi capabilities in the field of aircraft maintenance in cooperation with one of the most huge companies of aerospace and aviation in the world, pointing out that there is a chance for the trainee to complete his study in Kingston University and to get a university degree in aviation engineering.
