At least four people were killed Friday and six injured in separate incidents in Iraq, Iraqi police sources and media reports said, according to dpa. Police sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa that a US patrol had clashed with illegal militants in Baghdad's industrial district, killing two passengers including a woman. Sources said three more civilians were injured in the two-hour clashes. US forces had not sustained injuries or deaths in them, sources added. In another incident, two civilians were killed and three injured when US forces randomly shot at civilians in Hillah while conducting a military operation in the city, around 100 kilometres south of Baghdad, sources told the Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency. Separately, police sources told VOI that forces found two bodies showing gunshot wounds in the chest and forehead, in the suburb of Madain city, some 25 kilometres south-east of Baghdad.
