Tunisia has been granted $263 million in loans from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance a road project, the bank said on Thursday, according to Reuters. The project "will contribute to opening up remote areas, improve living conditions with expected spillover effects of activities (agro-pastoral, industrial, tourism and handicraft)", it said in a statement. Tunisia has received $5.9 billion in loans and aid from Tunis-based Africa's bank over the last four decades.
