Dr Salih bin Humaid, the Chairman of the Shoura (Consultative) Council, received here today U.S. Assistant under secretary for democratic affairs, labor, women, and human rights Erika Barex. They reviewed a number of political, economic, educational, social investment topics, notably topics pertaining to parliamentary relations between the Shoura Council and the US Congress. They also discussed bilateral relations in the parliamentary field. The two sides underlined the importance of further developing bilateral relations due to the regional and international significance of the two countries. The meeting was attended by a number officials.
