Senator Kennedy to undergo surgery

Senator Edward M. Kennedy will undergo surgery at Duke University Medical Center for his brain
tumor.
A statement from his office said the 76-year-old senator
will be operated on Monday by Dr. Allan Friedman. After the
surgery, he will undergo chemotherapy and radiation
treatment for his brain tumor, the Associated Press reported.
The senator expects to remain at the North Carolina
facility for one week to recuperate and thereafter will
begin further treatments at Massachusetts General Hospital
and start chemotherapy.
