Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance held here a meeting with United States Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing financial, economic and investment relations between the two countries. The meeting addressed the economic developments in both countries and opportunities for investors from both sides to take advantage of them so as to achieve further developments. It is noteworthy that the United States of America is the first commercial partner of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The two countries enjoy solid economic relations as the volume of trade exchange between them is around SR 160 billion and the volume of Saudi exports to the US are worth about SR 120 billion. There are 423 Saudi-American joint investment companies, involving a capital investment of nearly SR 38 billion.
