Yemeni Head of the Shoura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani has held talks with governor of San Petersburg Valentina Matvienko that focused on the possibility of twining Yemen's city of Aden with Russia's city of San Petersburg, Saba reported. The two also discussed ways to establish links between Yemeni ports and their Russian counterpart. The twining of the two cities was proposed by president Ali Abdullah Saleh during his last visit to Russia. Abdul Ghani brought up the latest Yemeni governor elections saying they will help Yemen to establish an efficient local governance. Within the framework of his current visit to Russia, Abdul Ghani and the accompanying delegation paid a visit to the Russian city of San Petersburg. They were received and welcomed by chairman of the city legislative assembly. They familiarized with the responsibilities of the legislative assembly at the Russian distinguished city. Abdul Ghani and the accompanying delegation also visited the Armitage Museum one of the most famous museums in the world. They toured the various sections at the museum expressing admiration for the enlightening role it plays to present the treasures of the international civilizations.
