The General Assembly of World Health Organization concluded here yesterday its 60th session with participation of 193 countries and more than 100 ministers of health from all over the world. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation was led by Dr. Hamad Al-Manea, Minster of Health. Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, President of the Eastern Mediterranean Region of the International Agency for Combating Blindness participated in the session and delivered a speech in which he talked about the proposal of the Kingdom representing the Eastern Mediterranean and the Arab Council of Ministers of Health concerning "Avoidance and Combat of Incommunicable diseases: Implementation of International Strategy". Prince Abdulaziz pointed out that it is important to establish a separate plan concerning avoidance of blindness that can be avoided to ensure successful implementation of these decisions. Representative of the World Health Organization for health efforts, Dr. Alaa Olwan hailed the leading role assumed by the Eastern Mediterranean region of the International Agency. He thanked Prince Abdulaziz for his attention about the visual disability at the world level.
