King Saud University Rector receives winner of 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine

Rector of King Saud University Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman received here today the winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine Louis J. Ignarro and a delegation of Kansas University.
During the meeting, Al-Othman said that the Kingdom is currently witnessing an economic boom and that the current trend of the Kingdom is to focus on educational aspect in order to preservation of the rights of future generations.
Al-Othman and Ignarro visited the workshop organized by King Abdullah Institute for Nano Research.
King Saud University signed service contract with Ignarro. The contract includes supervising a chair of cardiovascular disease research in addition to holding joint scientific research with the Faculty of Medicine.
