The leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) member countries arrived here today to participate in their 10th Consultative Summit, starting its deliberations later today. Those who arrived included Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Saeed, the Omani Deputy Premier for Cabinet Affairs; Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Qatari Emir and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Emir. On arrival at the airport of King Abdulaziz Airbase, they were greeted by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Abdullah bin Abdul-aziz, Prince Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern region, Iyad bin Ameen Madani, the Minister of Culture and Information, GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah and a number of princes, officials and ambassadors. Meanwhile, King Hamad bin Eisa al-Khalifa of Bahrain also arrived here today. He was welcomed at King Fahd Causeway by Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Vice-Governor of the Eastern Region, and number of senior officials.
