Under patronage of Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Dr. Osama bin Fadl Al-Bar, Mayor of Makkah, will open here tomorrow the Second Makkah Arbitration Forum entitled "Positive Effects of Activating Arbitration in Commercial Disputes". The Forum will be attended by a number of specialists in arbitration from all over the Arab World who will present working papers addressing the topics proposed for discussion in addition to holding a number of applied training courses on arbitration under supervision of King Abdulaziz University with participation of specialized professionals in this area. Dr. Al-Bar pointed out that the Ministry of Justice will participate with a number of its accredited arbitrators to benefit from their experience. On his part, Dr. Abdullah Seraj, member of Experience and Consultancy Center pointed out that arbitration is not considered as a rival, but an assistant to the judiciary; as arbitration alleviates pressure resulted from abundance of cases submitted to the judiciary.
