United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres said that the number of the Somali refugees in Yemen has tripled lately, Saba reported. During his meeting with Foreign Minister Abu Baker al-Qirbi on Sunday, Guterres hailed Yemeni efforts to either resolve the Somali-Somali conflict or to provide care for the Somali refugees in the country. He indicated to the importance of the international community's role in supporting the Yemeni humanity attitudes. For his part, al-Qirbi confirmed that Yemen is working on with the Commission's help to finalize the institutional structure for bodies that would assist the National Committee for Refugees Affairs. The International community should exert pressure on the Somali factions to sit on the table of dialogue, al-Qirbi said, noting that the absence of dialogue is the key reason of the current violence there and fleeing the Somalis from their homeland.
