Tehran on Sunday once again signaled its willingness to have talks with the next United States administration after the presidential elections, DPA reported. While doubting talks could take place with the current administration, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that Iran might hold talks with Washington following the presidential elections later this year. "There will be no talks with the US for the time being but let's see on what basis the US policies would be in the future," ISNA news agency quoted Mottaki as saying. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last Tuesday said that Iran would be willing to talk to the new US president within a debate. Ahmadinejad's previous efforts to hold talks with current President George W Bush has twice been rejected by the White House. A letter by Ahmadinejad to Bush two years ago was ignored by the US president.
