Arab Foreign Ministers hold session on situation in Sudan

The Arab Foreign Ministers held here today a special session to discuss developments in Sudan at an official request of the government of Sudan.
The Saudi delegation to the meeting was led by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister.
An official source at the Arab League said in a statement that Acting Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Karti requested the meeting to discuss the brutal attack on his country by certain armed factions in Darfur, backed by the Chadian regime, as stated in a message of the Sudanese official.
