Armed tribesmen kidnapped two Japanese women tourists in the north-central Yemeni city of Marib on Wednesday to pressure the government to free a detained fellow clansman, security sources said according to DPA. The sources said the kidnappers snatched the two women as they were touring the site of the historical dam of Marib and fled the site. They said the kidnappers were members of Al Muaili clan of the powerful Abida tribe.
